Agent compatibility

Fortytwo tests these agents and apps with the Fortytwo API: chat, streaming and tool calls. Any other tool that lets you add an OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions provider can work too: use its own guide and the settings below. Choose Chat Completions, not the Responses API.

Before you start: create a Fortytwo API key and buy credits — see Quickstart, step 1. Give each agent its own key with a Spend limit.

The model returns its reasoning in the reasoning field. Agents that read only reasoning_content work, but do not show the reasoning.
