# Promotional credits

> How promo codes and offers add promotional credits, how they are spent, and where to see them.

Promotional credits are credits we give you through a promo code or an offer in the platform. They pay for API usage like purchased credits, with a few differences.

Your balance on **Credits** includes promotional credits. Usage paid with promotional credits still counts towards a key's **Spend limit** and the account's **Monthly spend limit**.

Promotional credits obtained through fraud or abuse can be withdrawn. Where the law allows, we give the reason — see [Terms of Service, section 8](/legal/terms-of-service#8-pricing-and-payment).

## Redeem a promo code

1. Sign in at [platform.fortytwo.network <Icon icon="arrow-up-right" />](https://platform.fortytwo.network) and open **Credits**.
2. Press **Redeem promo code**.
3. Enter the code. Upper or lower case does not matter.
4. Press **Redeem**. When it works, you see **Credits activated** with the amount. Press **Done**.

## Claim an offer

Some offers come with a **Claim credits** button. Press it. When it works, you see **Credits activated** with the amount.

## See your promotional credits

The **Credits** page lists your promotional credits under **Grant and promotional credits**: for each credit, the amount left, its name, its expiry date and any model limit.

A credit that was used up, expired or withdrawn in the last 30 days stays in the list as **Used up**, **Expired** or **Revoked** with the date; a withdrawn credit also shows the reason. To remove it from the list, press **✕** on it, then press **Remove**.
