# Use Fortytwo with your agent

> Connect Hermes Agent, Kilo Code, Cline, pi or another AI agent to the Fortytwo API in a few steps, or let your agent set itself up.

**Let your agent set it up**

An agent that can edit files and run commands can add Fortytwo by itself. Create a [separate API key](https://docs.fortytwo.network/docs/quickstart.md#1-create-an-api-key) with a **Spend limit** first, then send the agent this prompt and paste the key when it asks.
